Earliest dates
The course is focused on detail explanation of TOGAF – the international standard for enterprise architecture management. It defines and explains processes for the design and management of the architecture (TOGAF ADM), the terminology used, a clear definition of roles and the structure of outputs describing the architecture at various stages of its design.
In addition to the content defined by the owner of the standard, the course also includes many examples from the practice of our consultants and trainers. We will show you how an architect should be involved in the preparation of the organization’s strategy, ongoing projects and change management and what is the difference between the roles of enterprise architect, solution architect, business analyst and project manager.
The course is a perfect preparation for the TOGAF Foundation certification exam, which you can take immediately after the course or at any time later.
Practical focus
On top of the content defined by The Open Group consortium we added additional content which shows how to use the standard in real practise of various organizations.

Guidance and recommendation on architecture setup in particular organizations
Step-by-step architecture design using own case study.
Business capability mapping examples and linkage to customer journey maps
Recommendations on architecture repository selection and setup
Architecture maturity assessment examples and recommendations how and by whom to use it
Certification
At the end of the course you are prepared enough to pass the certification according to the conditions and rules of The Open Group. The certification proves the knowledge of the standard and the ability to use it in practice. The certification may be required for public sector selection processes in several countries. It is also often required as part of the qualification criteria for architect related jobs. The certification exam is delivered as a computer test with 40 questions. During the course sample questions are practiced with a 40 questions sample test at the end of the course which is immediately evaluated by the instructor and unclear areas are explained in deep.
The exam cost is 360 USD and is not included in course price.
TOGAF benefits
Commercial organizations
Commercial organizations use TOGAF standard to effectively design and manage architecture in their complex environment. The procedures defined by TOGAF are then implemented into project and change management processes.
Public agencies
TOGAF is a standard for architecture management in public agencies in many countries. TOGAF knowledge is then requested by all the architects within the public sector.
Vendors
For suppliers of public and commercial organizations, knowledge of TOGAF is often required as a necessary qualification criterion, which is a prerequisite for participation in the selection process for solutions and services.
TOGAF and ArchiMate
TOGAF defines the processes for architecture design and management and concepts to be used for architecture description. However, it does not define visual notation for the visual descriptions. This is defined by ArchiMate – graphical modeling language – standard connected to TOGAF and also managed by The Open Group. Knowledge of both standards is a must for every architect of any domain and at any level.
